Gayathri Devi

Veda Madha Sri Gayathri Devi is the supreme deity of the Vedas. It is believed that Sage Vishwamitra reached his highest state as Brahma Rishi by chanting Gayathri mantra.  She bestows us all with light to get rid of ignorance and to attain divine wisdom.  She is concatenation of the trinity gods Brahma-Vishnu-Shiva and goddesses Saraswathy-Lakshmi-Durga. It is our responsibility to give back to the Divine Mother by devoting our time and energy in hailing Her. 

Rathna Charitable Trust organises Chithra Pournami Sri Gayathri Homam every year during the full moon in Chithra.  During this Homam over one hundred thousand Gayathri Mantra is chanted to generate vibrant for global peace and prosperity.  

On this special occasion, Veda Parayanam, Thirumurai Naraayaneeyam, Vaduka Pooja, Ko Pooja, Thambathi Pooja, Maha Poornahudhi were performed.  Maha Abhishekam to Sri Gayathri was performed followed by Poornahudhi.  

Over one-thousand eligible women were gifted free sarees by Rathna Charitable Trust during this ceremony to offer our gratitude to the Mother Nature.
